I came to know the Lord at a young age, but was resistant to His working in my life for a long time. Coming into college, the last thing I was thinking about was how I could serve God as part of His kingdom. My priority was to get in and out of college as fast as I could with a relatively secure, well-paying job. Full time ministry was the last thing on my mind because not only was it not secure and well-paying, I did not believe that God could use me in the lives of other people.
It wasn’t until I went on a mission trip with Cru to Santa Monica and learned how to share my faith that I started to allow God’s priorities for my life to outweigh my own. Once that happened, God gave me a passion to be a part of expanding His Kingdom. After graduating from UC Davis in 2012, Jessica and I married and interned with Cru for two and a half years at UC Davis and in South Africa.

In January 2009 I went to a Cru meeting for the first time. Through my involvement in Cru, I grew a passion for the Lord and people. Most of all, I learned not just who Jesus is but how to have a relationship with him. My life was never the same. After coming back from a mission trip, God started to show me how he wanted to use me to reach out to other women on college campuses, who like me, desperately want to know Christ, but don’t know what to do. After several years in full-time ministry, I’m excited that God has called us to serve long-term with Cru.
In July 2015 we welcomed our first child, Mabel Eileen MacMillan into our family.
